Creating a branch

To create a branch you should start by cloning your repository

Cloning is the same as "checkout from SVN", however Git has a commdn "checkout" as well, which is similar to "update" in SVN. so don't be confused!

For cloning you will need to set up your keys..
Either copy the files from a computer you already organized, or create new keys.
Verify configuration according to instructions on github help page

First clone (see the URL in repository) . For example :

git clone git@github.com:GuyMograbi/play.git

Go to the folder git created for the project. Now you can branch

git checkout -b dev_event_cbs master

And finally, push the branch back to git :

git push origin -u dev_event_cbs

Now go to "branches" page, and see the new branch.
